In the casting sand treatment, there is an important part of the old sand magnetic separation. Magnetic separator is divided into two types: hanging magnetic separator and through the permanent magnetic separator.
Hanging magnetic separator:
Hanging magnetic separator can separate out the strong magnetic metal material after passing through the material. Hanging magnetic separator is characterized by flexible arrangement, which can be arranged in any place where magnetic separation is required according to the process requirements. In the casting conveyor line, the machine is arranged above the sand box after pouring, so that the iron above the sand box can be pre-magnetized once, in any position of the old sand belt conveyor and the permanent magnetic pulley with the use of the machine, which shows its superiority even more.
Hanging magnetic separator consists of frame, driving mechanism, active and passive wheels, magnetic system, guiding rollers, tape tensioning device and so on.
The frame is the main connection of the whole equipment, and the driving mechanism is the moving part of the equipment, which forms a moving body with other parts to separate out the magnetic metals selected by the magnetic system. The guide roller prevents the belt from deflection, and the tensioning device tightens the belt to make it move smoothly.
The magnetic system is divided into N\S two-stage structure, mainly composed of stainless steel outer frame, cover plate, bottom plate, magnetic block and so on. It has strong attraction to magnetic metal objects.
When working, the belt travels and the magnetic separation is stationary. When the material follows the belt conveyor to the bottom of the magnetic system, the magnetic material in it is sucked, and the non-magnetic material is sent out with the belt conveyor. And the magnetic material along with the belt magnetic separator belt running. When leaving the magnetic field range, the magnetic field strength is weakened, the magnetic material from the belt surface off, to achieve the purpose of separation.
The hanging magnetic separator can be divided into two specifications, S995 and S997, according to the size, which can be configured according to the actual needs of customer's production line.
Through-type permanent magnetic separator:
The through-type permanent magnetic separator is used to remove ferromagnetic inclusions such as iron beans, iron nails, and castings' flying edge burrs mixed into the old sand.
This machine is using a permanent magnet permanent magnet block as a magnetic source, magnetic poles are arranged in a circle, the permanent magnet block is made of a special powder metallurgy product, strontium ferrite, which has a high remanent magnetism value after magnetization, and it is lined up by 4 permanent magnet block groups in the drum to form a NS magnetic pole group, which is fixed by the magnetic yoke and mandrel, and the surface of the cylinder is tightly attached to a 4 mm thick rubber protection layer, the drum end cap is made of aluminum, and the magnetic suction of the magnetic separator is stronger, and there is no heat problem. It works stably, has no heating problem and consumes less electric energy.
 Magnetic group magnetization, with epoxy resin or polyurethane glued to the yoke, with a diameter of 1 mm stainless steel wire or brass wire or polyester tape paper outside each group wrapped several times to avoid vibration off.
 When installing, pay attention not to make the magnetic blocks attract each other to hit, assemble according to NS polarity, move the sprocket, the drum rotates flexibly, move the shaft of the magnetic system, the magnetic system can rotate without touching with the inner skin of the drum, and then install the chain and speed reducer, and connect the electricity for trial, the drum and the baffle should be adjusted to make a gap of 5-15 mm between the drum and the baffle, so as to make the sand flow evenly across the width of the drum.
The through-type permanent magnetic separator is divided into two specifications, S524III and S524II, which are suitable for 5-ton resin sand production line and 10-ton resin sand production line respectively.
