Product Introduction
In the casting sand treatment, magnetic separation of old sand is an important part. Magnetic separators are divided into two types: hanging magnetic separators and through-type permanent magnetic separators.
Hanging magnetic separator:
Hanging magnetic separators can separate strong magnetic metal materials after passing through the material. They can be flexibly arranged according to process requirements. In the casting conveyor line, the machine is arranged above the sand box after pouring to pre-magnetize the iron above the sand box. It shows its superiority when used with the old sand belt conveyor and the permanent magnetic pulley in any position.
Hanging magnetic separators consist of frame, driving mechanism, active and passive wheels, magnetic system, guiding rollers, tape tensioning device, etc.
The frame is the main connection of the whole equipment, and the driving mechanism is the moving part of the equipment. The guide roller prevents belt deflection, and the tensioning device ensures smooth movement of the belt.
The magnetic system is divided into N/S two-stage structure, mainly composed of stainless steel outer frame, cover plate, bottom plate, magnetic block, etc. It has strong attraction to magnetic metal objects.
During operation, the belt travels while the magnetic separation is stationary. When the material reaches the bottom of the magnetic system along the belt conveyor, the magnetic material is sucked, and the non-magnetic material is sent out with the belt conveyor. The magnetic material remains on the belt until it leaves the magnetic field range, and then it is separated.
The hanging magnetic separator is available in two specifications, S995 and S997, which can be configured according to the actual needs of the customer's production line.
Through-type permanent magnetic separator:
The through-type permanent magnetic separator is used to remove ferromagnetic inclusions such as iron beans, iron nails, and castings' flying edge burrs mixed into the old sand.
This machine is using a permanent magnet block made of a special powder metallurgy product, strontium ferrite, as a magnetic source. The magnetic poles are arranged in a circle, and the permanent magnet blocks are lined up in groups to form a NS magnetic pole group. The drum is fixed by the magnetic yoke and mandrel, and the surface of the cylinder is protected by a 4 mm thick rubber layer. The drum end cap is made of aluminum. The magnetic separator has a stronger magnetic suction and works stably without heating problem or high energy consumption.
The magnetic groups are magnetized and glued to the yoke with epoxy resin or polyurethane. Each group is wrapped several times with a diameter of 1 mm stainless steel wire, brass wire, or polyester tape paper to prevent vibration.
During installation, attention should be paid to avoid the magnetic blocks attracting each other. Assemble according to NS polarity. The sprocket should move flexibly, and the magnetic system should rotate without touching the inner skin of the drum. Install the chain and speed reducer, and connect the electricity for trial. Adjust the gap between the drum and the baffle to make the sand flow evenly across the width of the drum.
The through-type permanent magnetic separator is available in two specifications, S524III and S524II, suitable for 5-ton and 10-ton resin sand production lines respectively.
